Rachel Macalua, PA-C, is a physician assistant with a passion for personalized health care. Rachel has more than 10 years of experience in the medical field and currently serves the community of Apopka, Florida, at I Am Healthy. She is skilled in all aspects of medical care, including obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, dermatology, general surgery, emergency medicine, and family medicine.

A strong believer in the value of education, Rachel graduated from Adventist University of Health Sciences in Orlando with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Afterward, she enrolled in Nova Southeastern University in Broward County, Florida, where she earned a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

As a family medicine health care provider, Rachel performs a broad range of services, including physical exams, gynecological exams, and a broad range of care for acute and chronic illnesses. Rachel works with patients of all ages, from infancy through adulthood, and embraces the holistic care approach shared by the practitioners at I Am Healthy. In addition to her impressive educational background and experience, she speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
